Where we work
We service Toowoomba City and everything within roughly 35km — north to Hampton, west to Oakey, south to Cambooya, and east down the range into the Lockyer Valley as far as Gatton.
Five areas, different soils
Toowoomba's soils change dramatically over short distances — deep red basalt up the range, black cracking clay on the flats. It changes what a lawn needs. Here's how the region breaks down.
The city and its suburbs, from the established inner streets out to Middle Ridge, Harristown and Wilsonton. Mostly deep red basalt soil with excellent structure and drainage, but it dries hard over summer and can turn water-repellent, which is why wetting agents matter here. Toward Glenvale it starts to give way to black cracking clay.

Highfields up to Hampton and across to Gowrie Junction: our home patch, and largely acreage. Higher, colder and frostier than the city, with bigger blocks that suit ride-on mowing, and heavier black clay toward Meringandan and Gowrie. Frost damage on warm-season grass is normal here through July.

Down the range east, from Withcott out to Gatton. Rich alluvial soil, noticeably warmer and more humid than the top. Grass grows faster and for longer here, so mowing intervals are tighter and fungal issues more common after wet spells.

Westbrook south to Wyreema and Cambooya, and across to Hodgson Vale, Preston and Mount Rascal. Much of it is black cracking clay that swells shut in the wet and splits open in summer, so core aeration does the heavy lifting, with gypsum where the clay is sodic. Blocks run from house lots to acreage.

Oakey, Kingsthorpe, Charlton, Wellcamp and Gowrie Mountain: hotter and drier country than the range. Black cracking clay around Kingsthorpe, Charlton, Wellcamp and Gowrie Mountain and lighter hardsetting soil around Oakey, with town lots in Oakey and Kingsthorpe and bigger rural and commercial blocks further out.

No separate travel fee. Distance is factored into the quote, and because we run scheduled rounds by area, properties on an existing route are priced the same as anywhere else.
Yes — acreage is a big part of what we do, particularly around Highfields, Meringandan, Cabarlah and Hampton. We run commercial zero-turn mowers for larger blocks. We don't do paddock slashing or fire breaks.
Because it changes what actually works. On the red Ferrosol up the range, dry patches are usually hydrophobic soil needing a wetting agent. On the black clay out west, the same symptom is usually compaction needing aeration. Same-looking problem, opposite treatments.
