A properly mown lawn isn't just short — it's even, cleanly edged, and cut at a height that keeps the grass healthy rather than scalped and stressed. That's what we turn up and do, every visit, on a schedule you never have to chase.
The equipment difference
Most operators run one mower and make every lawn fit it. That's why you end up with scalped high spots, missed corners, and an uneven finish along fences and garden beds.
We match the machine to the ground. Commercial-grade zero-turn ride-on mowers — Toro Z Master 52" and Bushranger 54" RZ — for acreage, large blocks and open areas. Fast, even coverage without the rushed finish you get from pushing a small mower around a big property for hours.
Large commercial push mowers — the Toro TimeMaster wide-cut — for medium-to-large house blocks. Wide-cut pace without sacrificing quality. Compact push mowers — Masport 19" and Ego 21" — for tight, awkward and hard-to-access areas: gated side accesses, courtyards, narrow strips between fences.
Then Stihl KombiSystem KM 94 and Ego tools for edging, trimming and detail work, plus a Stihl SH 86 shredder vac and blower for a clean finish.
On most properties we'll use two or three of these in a single visit. That's what gives a consistent, sharp result across the whole block rather than just the easy parts.

Every single visit
No surprise extras for the basics. Edging is part of the job, not an add-on.
$66 inc GST is our minimum charge, whichever package you choose. Pick the finish you want, then how often we come. Any package can be mowed at any frequency.
If your lawn is overgrown on our first visit, we catch that first cut whatever the package, so it isn't smothered. Then it's mulched or caught as normal.
Getting it right
It changes through the year, and getting it right matters more than most people think — letting a lawn get too long and then cutting it hard removes too much leaf at once and stresses the grass.
Warm months (September to May): weekly to fortnightly. Growth is at its strongest, and this is when regular mowing keeps a lawn thick and even.
Cool months (June to August): mowing eases off. Most of our plans drop to fortnightly, every three weeks or every four weeks through winter. Growth slows right down, and at elevation — Highfields, Cabarlah, Hampton, Mount Kynoch — frosts slow it further. Warm-season grasses go dormant and golden after a hard frost; that's normal, and frosted grass is best left uncut.
Acreage and rural blocks often work better on a longer cycle with a heavier cut, and we'll work out the right rhythm for your property.
The part most people get wrong
Cutting too short is the most common mistake we see, and it causes more problems than it solves. Scalping a lawn exposes the soil, dries it out faster, weakens the roots, and opens the door for weeds to move into the thin patches.
Leaving a bit more leaf does the opposite: it shades the soil, holds moisture in, and keeps the grass thick enough to crowd weeds out on its own.
That matters especially on Toowoomba's free-draining red Ferrosol and the lighter, drier country to the north and west, where the surface dries out fast in summer. We set the height to suit your grass and hold it year-round, lifting it only in a bad heatwave on lawns in full sun.
One-off work
Not every job is ongoing. We also handle first cuts on overgrown lawns — no lawn is too far gone, and we won't turn down a job because it's a mess. Plus pre-sale and pre-inspection tidy-ups, vacate and tenant changeover cleans for rentals and property managers, holiday cover while you're away, and one-off tidy-ups before an event.
Overgrown blocks take more on the first visit, then settle into normal maintenance pricing once they're back under control.
Regular clients sit on an automated recurring schedule in our job-management software, so services don't get forgotten. You get a reminder with your ETA the day before, an on-the-way message on the day, seasonal recommendations prompted at the right time of year, and an invoice after the job payable by direct debit — no chasing cash at the gate.
On the day
Weather and seasons
A Toowoomba lawn is not the same job in July as it is in November. Here is what we adjust for, and what it means for you.
Very wet ground or a heavy frost. We don't cut frosted grass, because it tears the leaf, and black clay ruts badly when it's waterlogged. If your ground is very wet or heavily frosted on the day, we move the visit and let you know.
Weed spraying. Spraying can't be done when it's wet, so a spray visit moves to the next dry day.
A bad heatwave. We hold your height year-round and only lift it in a bad heatwave, and only on lawns in full sun. A shaded lawn stays cool enough without it.
Winter. Growth slows right down from June to August, so most plans ease off to every two, three or four weeks, and your invoicing follows.
An overgrown first visit. Long grass takes more passes and far more to cart away, so we catch that first cut whatever your package and quote it on its own. After that it's normal maintenance.
Slopes, banks and tight access. A ride-on can't safely work a steep bank or fit a narrow side gate, so those areas get the push mower or line trimmer. That's built into your quote, not added on the day.

Regular mowing starts from $66 inc GST for a small, maintained yard, and most medium yards sit between $88 and $110. Every quote is free and no-obligation, and priced on your property rather than a flat rate. You'll get a clear, upfront price before we start — no hourly guesswork.

Regular mowing on a small, well-maintained yard starts from $66 inc GST, and a typical medium yard with front, back and edging is usually $88–$110 inc GST. Only to the areas being cut — you don't need to be home. A reminder goes out the day before so gates can be unlocked and cars moved, and you'll get a message once the mow is done. A padlocked side gate or a dog left out is the one thing that can stop us finishing the job.
