Why us here
Grantham sits about 29km east of Toowoomba, between Gatton and Helidon, in genuinely rich farming country — and it's a mix of long-established rural blocks and the newer landscaped estate up on the hill. Both want proper ride-on coverage and care matched to the fertile valley soil. We bring the commercial-grade zero-turn for the bigger blocks and the local read on how this ground behaves. Family-owned, $20M insured, 70+ five-star reviews.
Lawn conditions here
Black earth (Black Vertosol) · levee loam (Black Dermosol)
Grantham sits on rich Lockyer alluvial country. The valley survey maps this as major-stream terrace and plain country — black to brown soils running clay loam to heavy clay at the surface, becoming alkaline medium to heavy clay with carbonate in the subsoil. They're fertile and hold a deep moisture reserve, around 118 to 147mm in the top metre, so deep and less frequent watering suits them and a lawn here rides out a dry spell better than most. This is the ground that grows the valley's famous vegetables. It's warmer than the plateau, and the fertile soil grows vigorous couch, QLD blue couch and kikuyu that need regular mowing. The higher estate ground drains freely and can dry at the surface, where wetting agents help. Khaki weed is worth watching on the lighter, warmer ground.
Grantham is a rural village between Gatton and Helidon, surrounded by fertile farmland — famous produce and beef country. Since the 2011 flood, a landscaped estate on higher ground has added newer homes alongside the established rural blocks, so we service everything from lifestyle lots to acreage.

What your lawn is telling you
Vigorous growth outpacing your mowing just wants more frequent cuts. Fast-drying patches on the higher ground want wetting agents. Spongy turf is thatch (scarify), and pale growth is hunger (feed).
