Police-checked · Same crew every visit
Garden and lawn upkeep for older Toowoomba residents at home, and for the providers and facilities who look after them. Every crew member is police-checked, the same faces come back each visit, and photos are sent when the job is done — so a family member across town or interstate can see it has been looked after. Quoted per property, price fixed before we start.
Who's coming to the door
When the person paying for the garden isn't the person living there, who turns up matters more than how neat the edges are. A rotating cast of strangers at the gate is unsettling for an older person, and it's a real safety question for the family arranging the work.
Every TopLawn crew member holds a current police check, and the same small team comes back each visit, so your mum or dad gets to know the faces and the routine. We introduce ourselves properly on the first visit, knock before we start, and let them know when we're leaving.
We already work with Home Care Package providers, plan managers and DVA clients across Toowoomba, and we'll supply police checks and insurance documentation before the first visit.
How we work
For providers and facilities
Home Care Package providers, plan managers and facility managers need paperwork that lines up, not just a tidy lawn. Every invoice is itemised by date and service, and we can bill the provider directly, the family, or split it — whatever the arrangement needs.
Every chemical application is logged: product, rate, date, area treated, weather conditions and the licensed operator who applied it. For facilities, that record sits alongside our SWMS and certificate of currency in your contractor file.
Garden maintenance is a quoted service, priced on the property. You get a fixed price per visit before anything starts, so it can be budgeted against a package without surprises. All herbicide work is carried out under our ACDC licence.
For your records
Families, providers and facility managers can request the full pack at any time — for a contractor register, a care plan review, or simply peace of mind.
What happens next
In that order on purpose. Whoever is arranging the work should see who's coming before anyone walks the garden.
Common questions
Yes — the same small crew, on a regular day. Older clients tell us that's the thing they value most, and it's how we'd want our own parents looked after.
Yes. We can invoice the provider, the family, or split it. Invoices are itemised by date and service so they reconcile cleanly against a package budget.
Applications are timed for when the resident isn't outside, and we leave clear advice on when the lawn is fine to walk on — typically once the spray has dried. We're ACDC licensed and ChemCert accredited, which is legally required to apply herbicide commercially in Queensland.
We carry on with the outside work as arranged. If something seems out of the ordinary — mail piling up, a door left open, the resident not responding when they normally would — we phone the nominated family or care contact straight away.
Yes — that's standard. A short photo set goes to your nominated contact after every visit, so nobody has to ring to check whether it's been done.
Yes — both. Facilities need documented SWMS, itemised invoicing and scheduled chemical work; private homes need a gentler routine and a familiar crew. We do both, and the police checks and insurance are the same either way.
