The soil under your lawn

Mixed / transition

Red Ferrosol · texture-contrast

Cotswold Hills is a mix of red Ferrosol on the rises and lighter texture-contrast soil. The red soil drains freely and dries at the surface (wetting agents help on dry patches); the lighter areas dry faster still. Couch and kikuyu are the common grasses, with buffalo on shadier blocks. Winter grass and bindii are the cool-season weeds, and clover shows up on under-fed lawns.

Cotswold Hills is an established western residential suburb of standard family blocks, well-placed on our western rounds. It's steady, reliable residential maintenance work here.

Signs it needs more than a mow
