Why us here
South Toowoomba's real variety — compact inner lots one street, roomy family homes the next — is exactly why running a single mower for everything doesn't cut it. We match the machine to the job: the commercial-grade zero-turn for the bigger yards, commercial and compact push mowers for tighter inner blocks and narrow accesses. Whatever the size, you get the same commercial-grade standard, the same local crew, and a bladed-edge finish. Family-owned, $20M insured, 70+ five-star reviews.
Lawn conditions here
Red Ferrosol · black clay in low pockets
South Toowoomba sits on the city's free-draining red Ferrosol, with the odd black-clay pocket in the lower spots. The red soil's strength is drainage, but that same free-draining nature means the surface dries and can turn water-repellent in summer — wetting agents and aeration keep moisture where the roots need it. Couch and kikuyu are the common grasses, with buffalo on the shadier, established blocks. Watch for winter grass and bindii through the cooler months, and clover wherever the lawn's been under-fed.
South Toowoomba spans compact inner-city blocks through to larger, established family homes with mature gardens. It's a settled, leafy part of the city, so alongside regular mowing we do a fair amount of hedge, edge and garden-bed work for owners who want the whole property kept sharp.
Through the year
What your lawn is telling you
Beading, run-off dry patches point to hydrophobic red soil — a wetting agent sorts it. Spongy turf is thatch, ready to scarify. Hard, compacted ground on a black-clay pocket wants aeration. Pale growth needs feeding, and clover creeping in means the same. If grub damage shows up as golden, easy-pull patches, we can treat it.
Lawn mowing (ride-on and push) · bladed edging and whipper snipping · liquid and granular fertilising · selective weed control · hedge trimming and pruning · small tree removal up to 5 metres · garden clean-ups · green waste removal.
